Wow! I can't believe we are finally going to open our own gym!  My husband Gary was competing in powerlifting when I met him.  I would go to his meets and wish I could lift like the people on the stage.  It took a long time for me to discover how much I loved the gym, but once I did, it quickly became an obsession.  As a former competitive tennis player, I decided to set my sights on a figure competition as I needed the additional challenge to keep me focused.  While I loved the experience, I hated wearing heels, so after that show I moved to bodybuilding.

Through the process, we have searched for the perfect gym.  We have visited many gyms while traveling and have only found a few that were a good fit for us.  The one consistent attribute was an atmosphere where everyone in the gym supported each other.  Goals were set, reached and then new goals set.  Some of these gyms were newer with the latest equipment on the market, others were holes in the wall with machines that almost looked like antiques or home made.  The people running the gym and the members were serious.  It did not mean all were competitors, it meant they were all serious about reaching their individual goals.  That goal might be competing or it might be losing weight.  Everyone was welcome and encouraged to set goals and then smash them.  

When we would play the 'what would we do if we hit the lottery,' ultimately we would start talking about setting up the perfect gym.  While we have not hit the lottery, an odd series of events has led to our deciding to pursue our dream of a true hardcore gym.  We did not picture doing this as recently as six months ago, but everything fell into place in what we refer to as the Perfect Storm.

Now we are anxious to receive our equipment and open our doors.  We can't wait to welcome you to our dream gym where we are committed to helping you achieve your dreams.
